SCG Portfolio Company AIC Acquisition Company Appoints Douglas Hugo as President
Brighton, MI. Stratford-Cambridge Group (“SCG”) portfolio company AIC Acquisition Company LLC, dba AIC Equipment & Controls and Plasti-Co Equipment Company (collectively, “AIC / Plasti-Co”), welcomes plastics’ industry veteran Douglas Hugo as its new president. Doug brings over 30 years of experience in various aspects of the plastics’ equipment industry and will lead the overall direction and strategy of AIC / Plasti-Co.
“Doug’s industry expertise and leadership experience are the perfect fit for the company’s current stage of development as well as into the future,” said Jay Freund, Managing Director of SCG. “He has demonstrated leadership success in growing businesses within various plastics’ equipment channels and has extensive relationships both in North America and globally. We are thrilled to have Doug on-board with his unique blend of technical and commercial capabilities. He will be an important component as we continue the company’s legacy that was built by second generation entrepreneur Wayne Limbright,” added Freund. Doug will join new CFO Greg Reppuhn, Wayne Limbright and Dan Sidorowicz (National Sales Manager) to form the initial senior management team.
Doug spent a significant part of his early career at DME Company, a division of Milacron Corporation, a global supplier of mold technology products from standard to custom mold bases, mold components, hot runner systems and controls to the plastic molding industry, as a machinist, industrial engineering and eventually rising to Manager of Applications Engineering and Technical Services. From there, Doug joined Mold-Masters Limited, a global leader in hot runner technology, systems and controls, a division of Milacron Corporation. Early during his tenor, he held various commercial leadership positions including Vice President Sales & Service of the Americas. A few years after Mold-Masters was acquired by Milacron Corporation, Doug returned to DME Company as Vice President Global Product, Marketing, Service & Engineering. Most recently, Doug was President of Negri Bossi North America for Negri Bossi SpA (Italy), a global supplier of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and aftermarket parts.
